Daily dose of Ray - September 12 2009

I've long decided that there would be people against androids. I mean, whatever a thing is, there are always people against it. No way everyone would be perfectly fine with those weird robotic ears. The protesters may have different reasons though. My take is that they feel afraid or threatened deep inside.

This is even one of the background setting that would link several things together, including the car accident Rolin had (strip #21), Ray's father being a politician (#45), and of course, the android girls and Quino's engineer identity.

Though I had this idea in mind long ago, I've been hesitating to draw it. It's so different from the usual cute ones. It's not hard for me to draw cute school-life comics, but I want to try something deeper. Even if it doesn't work out eventually, it's fine, since I have nothing to lose.
